Fort Lauderdale-based National Maritime Services (NMS), the arrest and seizure subsidiary of National Liquidators, announced two promotions within the firm.
Don Soutar was promoted to director of National Maritime Services, becoming the top executive for that company. The new position includes marketing/business development and overseeing day-to-day business activities for NMS. Soutar’s former position with National Maritime Services was director of new business development.
Bill O’Dell was promoted to operations manager. O’Dell will assume all operational responsibilities as the administrator of all government contracts, and will oversee coordination of arrest and custody activities for commercial and lien-related cases.
National Liquidators, including its vessel seizure subsidiary National Maritime Services, has handled more than 18,000 cases since its inception in 1988. The company maintains offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Newport Beach, Calif., and Cleveland.
Yamaha Marine Group, a division of Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., announced the appointment of Bryce Thunell to the position of district marketing manager for District No. 181, covering Wisconsin, northern Illinois and northeast Iowa.
“He brings a wealth of retail experience in sales and sales management, having managed several large marine dealerships,” said national sales manager John Rigsby. “Bryce also brings with him a thorough knowledge of the upper Midwest markets.”
Bryce comes to Yamaha with an extensive marine industry background. Most recently he held the position of sales manager at Skipper Bud’s marine location in Madison, Wis. Prior to that, Bryce was sales and business manager at Pro Sporting Goods in Ramsey, Minn., for 10 years and sales manager at Pro Power Sports for two years.
