US Sailing revamps educational Web sitePosted on
US Sailing, the nation’s governing body for sailing, launched a revamped learn-to-sail website, SailingCertification.com.
The site makes it easier to learn about sailing courses — from beginner to instructor-level training — and find US Sailing-accredited schools in 46 cities across the United States, Mexico and the islands.
“It’s about helping people realize the dream of getting out there on the water and finding their own adventure,” says Janine Connelly, director of training at US Sailing, in a statement. “In redesigning SailingCertification.com, we wanted to demonstrate that anyone can learn to sail by showing them each course they need to take and centralizing the search for classes near their home or vacation destination.”
The new SailingCertification.com lists news and offers posted by US Sailing-accredited schools across the country in one central portal. In addition, US Sailing has created a forum for the leisure sailing, or cruising, community where experts and sailing instructors provide tips, and sailors can share their questions, experiences and favorite destinations.
