Tom Brewington was promoted to vice president of Unified Marine.
Brewington recently returned to Unified Marine after leaving the company in 2001. He had worked there for seven years and was responsible for assembling and supervising nearly 100 full-time sales team members across the United States.
As vice president he will be responsible for the daily operation of Unified Marine, along with supervision and execution of established goals.

Silverton Marine Corp. announced two key management appointments.
Brett Marshall, director of the southern New Jersey boatbuilder’s sales and marketing department, is Silverton’s new vice president of sales and marketing. Sean Berrie, director of the design and engineering department, is now vice president of design and engineering.
In addition, each executive was made an officer of the company.
Marshall was named director of sales and marketing in February, after serving as Silverton’s national sales manager since 2003. His marine industry career spans 20 years, with positions in the sales and marketing departments at Ocean Yachts, Silverton Marine and Ovation Yachts. Marshall directs the Silverton sales activities of 50 dealers around the world. In addition, he manages the sale of Ovation yachts through select dealer outlets worldwide.
Marshall graduated from New Jersey’s Glassboro State College in 1983, with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education.
Berrie is a 1986 graduate of North Carolina State University, with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. He received an MBA from Temple University in 2000. He joined Mainship — one of Silverton’s three sister companies in the Luhrs Marine Group — in 1987. He has served as chief designer since 1992 and was appointed director of design and engineering in 2002.
Silverton Marine is a subsidiary of Luhrs Marine Group.

Brownell Boat Stands added two key personnel to its staff.
Peter T. Kavanaugh was named senior vice president and will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the business. Additionally, Peter S. Hughes was named sales manager and is responsible for worldwide sales of the company’s products.
Jose DeSousa will continue providing customer service and performing logistics management.
Mattapoisett, Mass.-based Brownell Boat Stands has manufactured boat stands since 1954.
