NMEA convention slated for October

Posted on

The 2008 National Marine Electronics Association Convention & Expo is set for Oct. 1-4 at the Town and Country Resort Hotel in San Diego.

The 2008 NMEA Convention & Expo will be a large event for marine electronics dealers, manufacturers, distributors and other professionals held in North America this year. The NMEA member companies supply most of the electronics for the recreational boating and light commercial markets.

“We have a great program of training and seminars prepared for NMEA dealers and their technical personnel,” said David Hayden, president and executive director of the NMEA, in a statement.

The NMEA convention will offer many networking and business opportunities, as well as education for the full range of attendees, including manufacturers, distributors, technical servicing dealers and others associated with the industry. Many manufacturers roll out their 2009 products at the Oct. 2 expo.

Other events include the NMEA awards banquet, the first NMEA/FLIR dealer cruise, the NAVICO fishing tournament, as well as a winery tour.

For details, and to register, visit www.NMEA.org or www.NMEAconvention.org or call the NMEA office at (410) 975-9425.
