Captain’s briefing being held at Fort Lauderdale show

Posted on

The U.S. Superyacht Association, in partnership with the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, has organized a Captains Briefing to allow large yacht captains to communicate directly with U.S. federal agencies responsible for regulatory oversight and compliance.

The briefing will be held at 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Captain’s Hideaway in the Seabreeze Room at Bahia Mar Hotel during the 49th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Panelists include representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. State Department.

There will be an informal reception following the briefing. Because of space limitations, the briefing will be limited to invited captains only. Any large yacht captain or member of the media interested in receiving an invitation should contact Julie Lynn of the U.S. Superyacht Association at info@ussuperyacht.com or (954) 927-1085.
