Pierre Gerber has joined Global BSI Rigging & Service, specializing in international aftermarket sales and service. Gerber will be based in the company’s Haderslev, Denmark, offices and will work with clients throughout Europe providing refit services, inspections and technical reviews.
Gerber will also consult for authorized service centers such as A+ Rigging Mallorca and Rig Pro.
Gerber brings many years of superyacht technical service and experience to the Global BSI Rigging & Service team. The South African native was formerly captain of the 105-foot sloop Chardonnay and recently assisted with the refit of the 155-foot ketch Mikado in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Global BSI specializes in the engineering and manufacture of premium rod rigging systems for large sailing yachts, with manufacturing and assembly facilities in Denmark and Portsmouth, R.I.

Albemarle Boats has promoted Ted Haigler to director of sales and marketing.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Haigler has worked at Albemarle since 2003. He began in the quality assurance department and was promoted to customer service manager in 2004. He was promoted to dealer development manager in fall 2005.
From this position, he has led Albemarle’s efforts in expanding and strengthening its dealer network during the last three years.
The Hatteras Collection, a unit of Brunswick Corp., includes Albemarle Boats, Cabo Yachts and Hatteras Yachts.
