MyBoatShares, a fractional boat-ownership program, has added five Jacksonville, Fla., retailers to its dealer network.

In Jacksonville, Haskell’s Marine, Jacksonville Yacht Sales and Atlantic Coast Marine will sell MyBoatShares partnerships in 23- to 40-foot center consoles, sportfishers, cruisers, pontoons, and performance and ski boats. In addition, MyBoatShares will offer clients fractional ownership of boats at Riverbend Marine in St. Augustine and Ocean Outboard Marine in Amelia Island.

“With new-boat sales declining over the past three years due in part to a weak economy, boat dealers are looking for new ways to move inventory and improve margins,” said Glenn Enriquez, CEO of MyBoatShares, in a statement. “Our unique program provides an opportunity for them to network with other dealers, cross-sell a wider assortment of boat brands and models, and offer flexible ownership options to a larger pool of potential boat buyers.”

Based in Stuart, Fla., MyBoatShares is a fractional ownership program that provides the benefits of boat ownership, but at a fraction of the cost and without the typical responsibilities.

Integrated Dealer Systems has initiated new online training classes for its dealerships.

The online classes are geared toward improving practices in such areas as payroll setup, accounts payable, custom reports, service efficiency and daily documents.

“We want to help dealerships improve profitability and productivity without having to spend valuable time away from the dealership,” said Sean Raynor, vice president of sales and marketing for IDS. “And this unprecedented collection of live, online classes does that by allowing our customers to access the latest knowledge and gain valuable training on an array of topics, no matter where they are located.“
