Genmar joins Green Tier program in Wisconsin

Posted on

Genmar Yacht Group LLC of Pulaski, Wis., became the newest participant in the state’s Department of Natural Resources’ Green Tier program.

Formerly known as Carver Boat Corp., Genmar Yacht Group manufactures Carver and Marquis luxury yachts.

Genmar Yacht Group has already made strides in environmental excellence, reducing VOC emissions, implementing a facility-wide waste minimization program, and reducing wastewater discharge.

Its goals under Green Tier include expanding its environmental management system and pursuing reductions in energy and water consumption.

Genmar Yacht Group is a Tier 1 participant in Green Tier. In exchange for a commitment to environmental performance, the DNR grants benefits to Tier 1 participants that include a single point of contact with the department for easier communications, the use of the Green Tier logo in marketing materials, deferred enforcement of civil violations, and annual public recognition of participation.
