Sail America meeting will address economic issues

Posted on

This year’s Sail America General Members Meeting will feature an interactive panel discussion to encourage discussion about the group’s future plans and the economic challenges facing the sailing industry.

The meeting, scheduled for Oct. 10 in Annapolis, Md., will be held at Phillips Seafood Restaurant and will start with networking and a continental breakfast. Sail America executive director Jonathan Banks will moderate a discussion with a panel of Sail America board members and other sailing industry leaders.

“We feel the panel discussion is the best way to present the new direction for Sail America and will give members the opportunity to raise questions and make suggestions,” Banks said in a statement.

The meeting will finish with a discussion on successful business strategies with William J. Ash, senior managing director of The Tron Group and a leading business turnaround consultant.
