NMMA holding engineering compliance seminarPosted on
The National Marine Manufacturers Association will hold an Engineering Compliance Seminar to help boatbuilders remain up-to-date with American Boat & Yacht Council standards.
Scheduled for Dec. 8-10 in Nashville, Tenn., the seminar will highlight important changes to existing ABYC standards required for compliance with the NMMA Boat & Yacht Certification Program for Model Year 2010 products.
“Attendance at this seminar on the part of boatbuilders is critical, as it is vitally important to ensure compliance with ABYC standards,” said Robert Newsome, NMMA director of engineering standards, in a statement. “There is no other forum that brings together all the necessary experts in a single place to discuss these changes than the annual NMMA Compliance Seminar.”
Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss current and contemporary certification issues with other boatbuilders, quality control engineers, NMMA Certification inspectors, ABYC staff and the Coast Guard.
