Zodiac names new VP, debuts Web featurePosted on
Zodiac of North America announced a new vice president for the company, as well as a new micro Web site that compares fuel usage and horsepower differences between its RIBs and similar-sized center consoles.
Gary Durnan was promoted from director of Canadian operations to vice president of the recreational division for North America.
Im looking forward to our new consolidated operations that unite U.S. and Canada operations under a single roof, Durnan said. It will help us be more responsive to our dealers and customers on both sides of the border.
Durnan will be on hand at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Bahia Mar Yachting Center/Hall of Fame Marina Booth No. 1057 between 1 and 3 p.m. Friday.
In other news, Zodiac of North America announced the launch of a fuel comparison Web site at www.savefuelkeepboating.com.
Weve seen that the rising price of fuel has affected sales and even the usage habits of boaters across North America, Durnan said. Our RIBs use half the gas of similar-sized alternatives, while providing better rides, competitive performance, and unprecedented seaworthiness. We felt it was important to let consumers know they have more fuel-efficient boats to choose from so they can maintain their boating lifestyle.
With headquarters in Stevensville, Md., Zodiac of North America is the wholly owned subsidiary of Zodiac Marine and Pool, a Carlyle Group portfolio company.
