Red Oak Marketing Group, of Lake Forest, Ill., appointed Krishna Krovi chief operating officer.

“With our rapid growth, we needed to strengthen and expand our executive group,” said John Trkla, Red Oak president and CEO, in a statement. “Krishna brings a range of experience to our organization, from applying financial skills to operations to past successes in project management.”

Krovi has more than 15 years of experience with marketing and technology firms, including, Overdrive Interactive, POPstick, i-Vantage, Kenexa and Sun Microsystems. Prior to joining Red Oak, he was vice president of sales and business development with e-tractions. He has an MBA in finance from St. Joseph’s University.

Northrop and Johnson appointed Stefanie Hurtak Smith to head the company’s marketing division.

“We’re very excited to have Stefanie on board as our needs and our clients’ needs continue to grow,” said Bruce Leffers, president of Northrop and Johnson Group, in a statement. “There is a new level of sophistication developing in the yachting industry. We are pleased to be a part of that growth.”

Smith has a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism. She also has more than seven years experience in professional advertising and marketing.
