Parker Hannifin Corp., a Cleveland-based motion and control technology company, acquired Aqua Pro Inc., a manufacturer of reverse-osmosis filtration systems.

Aqua Pro, which does business as Village Marine Tec and Offshore Marine Laboratories, reported $33 million in sales for fiscal 2008. The company has manufacturing plants in Gardena and San Fernando, Calif., and sales and service locations in California, Florida, Hawaii, Virginia and Washington.

The addition of Aqua Pro will complement Parker Hannifin’s existing products in growth markets, according to company president Peter Popoff. The company currently has annual sales of about $12 billion.
