Walker Bay Boats says Land ‘N’ Sea will now have complete national coverage of its rigid dinghy, AirDock and Breeze sailboat lines.
“Land ‘N’ Sea has an excellent, longstanding reputation for servicing the marine industry. Their inventory management is among the best, and we are thrilled to have them supplying our dealers with product when they need it,” said Chris Carroll, vice president of sales for Walker Bay.
Walker Bay has a long relationship with Kellogg Marine and Diversified Marine, which has led to Land ‘N’ Sea adding Walker Bay’s product range to the Midwest and Southeast regions, giving them complete national coverage of the product lines.
Land ‘N’ Sea is part of the Brunswick Corp.
Hacker Boat Co. announced that Great Lakes Hacker-Craft of Bay Harbor, Mich., joined its North American dealerships.
It will serve all of Michigan and the regions surrounding the Great Lakes from 100 miles west of Chicago to as far southeast as Canton, Ohio.
The annual Regulator Marine University was held at the builder’s Edenton, N.C., plant Nov. 19-20, and attendance by both dealer principals and salespersons across Regulator’s network was high, according to president Joan Maxwell.
The program was created in 2000 and equips both domestic and international sales staff with tools and product knowledge. Participants receive a “Bachelor of Science in Regulator Product Knowledge.”
Awards were presented on the final evening, including Dealer of the Year, which went to Oyster Harbors Marine, Osterville, Mass., and Salesperson of the Year, which went to Jonathan Wilkes of Beacon Point Marine, Cos Cob, Conn.
New Zealand-based Tallon Marine appointed APF Marine Group, of Hauppauge, N.Y., to distribute its receiver platforms and accessories in lower New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Through its sales representatives group, APF Marine will market Tallon Marine products to local boatbuilders and sell through the five trade shows in which it participates, including the New York National Boat Show, which begins this weekend at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The annual award was given at Kellogg’s Dealer Show opening reception, which was attended by more than 800 dealers, manufacturers, and manufacturer representatives.
The award goes to the manufacturer that has outperformed all others in all categories, including sales, shipping, accounting and promotions. The award is voted on by all managers and category managers at Kellogg and represents all of its parts and accessories vendors.
Channel Blade, a provider of Web site, lead generation, lead management and sales education solutions, added Kelly’s Port Marina to its portfolio of dealer clients. Channel Blade will design a new Web site and integrate Footsteps, its lead management solution.
Located in Osage Beach, Mo., Kelly’s Port is a full-service marina and includes an 8,400-square-foot retail showroom featuring Regal, Baja, Silverton and Princecraft boats. It is Regal’s oldest dealership and the first to rank in the Top 10 in Sales and Top 10 in Customer Satisfaction, the company said.
