John Hatfield, of Howe Interlakes Marine, was recently inducted into the Michigan Boating Industry Association Hall of Fame.
Hatfield is chairman of the 2008 MBIA board of directors and president of the Recreational Boating Industries Educational Foundation. He has served the association for more than 20 years.
Hatfield’s long history in serving on the MBIA’s board, both as a director and as an officer and his service to the association’s educational foundation were recognized by the MBIA board in its decision to induct him into the Hall of Fame.
“I watched John’s surprise when his longtime friend and fellow board member Greg Krueger presented this prestigious award to John,” said MBIA president Van Snider, who nominated Hatfield. “He not only was surprised, but humbled by the recognition. He is, indeed, a well-deserving member of the boating industry community.”
