NTSB safety course still has openingsPosted on
Seats are still available for the National Transportation Safety Board’s course, Marine Accident Investigation for Marine Professionals, scheduled for Jan. 26-30 at the NTSB Training Center in Ashburn, Va.
The weeklong course covers the board’s processes and procedures during a major marine accident; reviews human factors, medical factors and electronic data elements in a marine investigation; offers best practices for comprehensive and thorough interviewing techniques and shares report preparation processes and procedures.
The course will be led by senior NTSB investigators who will use examples from recent NTSB investigations to demonstrate particular aspects of the investigative process.
This is the first time the safety board has offered this course.
