Vermont joins RBFF push for fishing license sales

Posted on

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is joining a growing number of state agencies participating in the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation’s direct-mail marketing program to increase fishing license sales among lapsed anglers.

RBFF set up the program three years ago to increase participation in fishing and generate awareness of the connection between fishing-license sales and conservation efforts.

“We have made significant progress this year toward increasing fishing-license sales and generating critical funds for conservation efforts,” RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. “The program to date has generated nearly $3 million in gross revenue for fish and wildlife management efforts.”

The direct mail marketing program includes direct mail templates, instructions to implement a direct mail campaign and marketing assistance from RBFF.
