Yacht brokers meeting set for Baltimore

Posted on

The 2009 Yacht Brokers Association of America International Conference of Professional Yacht Brokers is set for Feb. 22-24 at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute in Baltimore.

The conference is presented in partnership with Yachtworld.com and the American Boat and Yacht Council.

YBAA’s 2009 conference has evolved in the last several years to become a multi-day educational and networking event, delivering specific professional development programs based upon industry skills and knowledge as defined in the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers program.

The conference also provides 15 recertification credits for eligible CPYB yacht brokers.

The special room rate for YBAA members is $130 for single occupancy and $175 for double occupancy. Call (410) 859-5700 and mention YBAA to receive this rate. Reservations must be made by Feb. 1 to guarantee the special rate.

YBAA also is accepting nominations for the Paul Bennett III Memorial Award, which is given to a “qualified and deserving individual who best exemplifies Mr. Bennett’s characteristics and commitment.”

Anyone wishing to nominate a broker should submit the nomination before Jan. 5.
