Maureen A. Healey, executive director of the Personal Watercraft Industry Association, was named to the board of directors of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association.

“All boaters who navigate through the [Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway] are safer because of the work of the AIWA,” Healey said in a statement. “I intend to raise awareness about boating safety in the ICW at every opportunity because I believe maintaining this important channel for recreational boaters is imperative.”

Healey also serves on the board of directors of the National Safe Boating Council and the BlueRibbon Coalition, a national association dedicated to recreational vehicle access on public lands.

She also is member of the American Recreation Coalition, Americans for Responsible Recreation Access, American Watercraft Association, National Association of State Boating Law Administrators, National Marine Manufacturers Association and National Water Safety Congress.

Healey joined PWIA in January 2005.
