Dealers say they’re doing well at Houston showPosted on
Dealers at the Houston International Boat, Sport and Travel Show said they were surprised at how well they were doing at this year’s event, and attributed some of the business to Hurricane Ike.
Ike destroyed an estimated 15,000 recreational boats in Texas when it made landfall Sept. 13, the Houston Chronicle reports. Some say the arrival of insurance checks for damaged boats has helped spur business at the show, which runs through Jan. 11.
