Coastal Properties Management of Annapolis named Paul Gapcynski the new manager of Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown, Va.

Gapcynski has worked at Riverwalk as dockmaster since May 2005. Following the death of the previous manager, Dennis Nate, last September, Gapcynski was promoted to the management position.

“We were all very saddened to lose Dennis Nate, who was a well-known boater and popular manager at Riverwalk for years,” said Bruce Wagner, vice president of operations for Coastal Properties. “Paul has been able to step in and make the transition to manager very efficiently.”

Gapcynski is local to the Yorktown area and has been around boats all his life. He holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from College of William & Mary and has worked in the marine science field as well as environmental management and civil service as an environmental program manager for the U.S. Air Force.

Northrop and Johnson Luxury Collection of Fort Lauderdale added Capt. Paul Daubner as a sales broker in the firm’s San Diego office.

Daubner has 20 years of experience in the marine industry and brings a wealth of knowledge to the full-service yacht brokerage company, according to Northrop and Johnson. A yacht and charter captain for more than 15 years, he navigated the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, as well as the Caribbean and South China seas.

Commanding a fleet of charter yachts added to his expertise in the industry. He served as the West Coast Azimut service’s technical superintendent and project manager, and provided yacht management services for some of the largest yachts on the West Coast.

In 2006, Daubner joined Fraser Yachts California as a sales broker. He holds a Coast Guard Masters License, a broker’s license in California and is a member of several maritime organizations.
