Skip Robinson joined the Port Royal Group roster of Allied Marine Professionals.

Robinson most recently served as director of operations for Hodgdon Yachts Inc., a builder of composite yachts and patrol boats. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of Palmer Johnson Savannah Inc. During that tenure, he also served as co-director of Palmer Johnson Malta, a joint venture with the government of Malta to deliver high-end refit and repair service to the megayachts of the Mediterranean.

From 1969 to 1988, Robinson was owner/operator of Onset Bay Marina Inc., a full-service boatyard, marina and drystack facility on Buzzards Bay, Mass.

Robinson’s published marine-related work includes “A Da Vinci To Die For,” a 2003 mystery novel about the megayacht brokerage business in South Florida; “Repairs of Osmotic Blistering”; and “AWLgrip Application as It Relates to the Marine Industry”.

The Port Royal Group of Deerfield Beach, Fla., provides technical and business consulting services to yacht owners, buyers, builders and sellers worldwide.

Burger Yacht Sales of Manitowoc, Wis., added Ron Tedeschi to its brokerage team in Fort Lauderdale.

Tedeschi has been active in the marine industry for more than 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Burger brokerage team, according to the company.

Brunswick Corp. promoted Matthew Cherry to vice president of global human resources for marine, effective immediately. He will be based in Petit Rechain, Belgium.

Cherry, 39, most recently served as human resources director for Sealine International, a Brunswick division based in Kidderminster, England. He joined Brunswick in 2004.

In his new position, Cherry will be responsible for all human resources services for Brunswick’s marine operations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia/Pacific. He also will serve as a resource for the operations of Brunswick’s Life Fitness and Bowling & Billiards divisions in those regions and work with Brunswick’s corporate human resources personnel to ensure consistency in policy and practices.

“Matt will play a key role in continuing to lead and coordinate Brunswick’s global efforts outside of the United States under a unified organizational structure,” said John Pfeifer, president of Brunswick global structure, in a statement.
