The 51st annual Detroit Boat Show will be held Feb. 14-22 at the Cobo Conference/Exhibition Center in downtown Detroit.

More than 80,000 Michigan residents are expected to visit hundreds of exhibitors and see hundreds of new 2009, 2008 and 2007 model boats of all types and sizes during the show. This includes ski boats, fishing boats, cabin boats, bowriders, pontoons and personal watercraft.

Exhibitors will also be selling engines, dockage, water toys, skiing and wakeboarding gear, boating and fishing accessories, electronics, jewelry, artwork and more.

Many dealers say they can attribute up to 50 percent of their annual sales to this show, according to the Michigan Boating Industries Association. More than 1,500 boats, worth an estimated $50 million, traditionally sell during the show’s nine-day run.
