Newport Yacht Management gets back to its roots

Posted on

Newport Yacht Management is moving back to Newport, R.I.

When the company was founded in the early 1980s, it was located in several offices in downtown Newport, eventually moving into an office at the Newport Shipyard. The firm moved four years ago to an office at New England Boatworks in Portsmouth, R.I.

“The opening of office space in the Mill Building, an historic renovation of great character, at the International Yacht Restoration School is what prompted our move [back to Newport],” Tom Rowe, managing director of Newport Yacht Management, told Soundings Trade Only.

“The facility will house the IYRS offices as well as a number of marine-related businesses that we feel represent a good mix for NYM, so we are back to our roots on the waterfront in downtown Newport,” said Rowe.

The new offices are located at 449 Thames St., Suite 212. The phone number is (401) 683-1616. The new Web address for the firm’s Newport Spring Charter Yacht Show is www.newportchartershow.com.
