I have known the Gougeon Brothers about as long as I have known anyone in this business. I first met them in the early 1970′s when they sailed their cold molded trimaran into the Rogers City, Michigan small boat harbor. The marina was my adolescent summer hangout, and the Gougeons were part of my inspiration to get into the boatbuilding industry. Congratulations to their organization. It is well deserved.

Jan and Meade put modern wood composite boatbuilding on the map. Their introduction of epoxy resin into yacht construction, innovative boatbuilding techniques and unique and seaworthy boat designs have been an inspiration to me and many others. Boatbuilding  would be a different world without the Gougeon Bros. Epoxy boats are stronger and last longer!
