Why have an add on running on Soundings “help wanted” then cut 45 jobs???  Were these 45 jobs outside of their retail stores??

So Bass Pro & Tracker are cutting 45 jobs but are running the following ad on Soundings:

Another way to look at this is as a sign of good management.  If the 45 jobs were not related to sales and sale management (advertised positions), it is doubtful that the employees being cut were candidates for these positions.  Even the heathiest of companies “tune” the workforce constantly, often resulting in layoffs in one area, while new hires are going on in others.

I guess this new announcement explains why I never heard from my app to the job they have posted here.
Weird way to stay in business, but then my old company laid off 10% of their US staff, only to announce a few weeks later that they jsut hired over a 1000 new people for their offices in India and Malaysia.
I really would like a decent job, but these types of incidents really make it tough to discover who is serious about hiring and who is playing games.
