Celebrating National Marina Day

Posted on

The Association of Marina Industries says it’s not too early to start planning for National Marina Day, set this year for Aug. 8.

AMI can assist companies and organizations in preparing for National Marina Day by providing templates for press releases, advertisements, invitations, proclamations and more.

AMI has listings of partner organizations that want to help promote events and the industry. The association also can provide a link to an economic impact study that marina owners can complete to show elected officials the value of marinas to their communities.

The goal of National Marina Day is to educate the public about the role the marina industry plays in cities and towns around the country. This year AMI has partnered with the National Youth Marine Alliance for Preserve America’s Waterways, a national project to gets kids involved in keeping our waters clean.
