Bradford Grand Bahama, part of the Bradford Marine family of companies, has appointed John Biggs as commercial manager of the Freeport shipyard on Grand Bahama Island.
Biggs has more than 41 years of welding experience in the layout, design and fabrication of ferrous and non-ferrous alloy materials and 28 years of marine fabrication and repair experience. He is an American Welding Society, American Bureau of Shipping, and Lloyds-certified welder with 14 welding certifications in ferrous and non-ferrous alloy materials; an AWS-certified welding inspector and educator; an ASNT-TC1A Levels II and III-certified inspector; and is certified for confined space safety and entry.
“His depth of experience will no doubt greatly benefit our commercial customers and their vessels calling at our Freeport shipyard,” said Paul Engle, president of Bradford Marine Bahamas, in a statement.
