Dow sees strong week

The Dow Jones Industrial Average this week saw three consecutive days of gains, its biggest positive streak since last November, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The Dow surged 239.66 points, or 3.5 percent, Thursday to 7,170.06. The benchmark has gained 623.01 points, or 9.5 percent, since Monday.

The Dow opened this morning at 7167.35, and by 10 a.m. had jumped more than 46 points to 7216.17.
