MMTA, ABYC team up for classesPosted on
The Maine Marine Trades Association is teaming up with the American Boat and Yacht Council to offer a series of ABYC certification courses later this year at the Marine Systems Training Center in Thomaston, Maine.
The courses include: Marine Corrosion Certification, Sept. 8-11; Gasoline Engine & Support Systems Certification, Nov. 3-5; and Marine Systems Certification, Dec. 1-4.
Partnering with ABYC allows the trade association to offer these courses at reduced pricing for Maine’s marine professionals. The MMTA sponsored the ABYC Electrical Certification class in January and the ABYC Diesel Engine & Support Systems Certification course last month.
“We look forward to working with the MMTA to bring our certifications to their training facility as it helps to reduce travel and training costs for professionals in our industry,” said Mike New, ABYC’s director of education, in a statement.
