Nautique receives EPA award

Posted on

Nautique was honored by the Environmental Protection Agency for incorporating Acrastrip, an EPA-endorsed acetone replacement, into its lamination manufacturing processes.

The Health and Environmental Stewardship Award is one of 10 that the EPA has given in the marine industry, and also marks the first recognition the EPA has awarded to a ski/wakeboard boat manufacturer, according to Nautique.

Through the contributions of Ashland Distribution and the entire Nautique lamination team, this non-flammable cleaning fluid allows the boatbuilder to reduce its impact on its surroundings and provide a more eco-friendly environment for employees.

This article is incorrect. Acrastrip is not the only EPA approved acetone replacement.
Bio-Solv produced by MAS Products in Cinnaminson, NJ is a 100% Bio-Degradable, renewable, carbon neutral and non-toxic acetone replacement. It proudly carries the EPA’s Designed for the Environment (DfE) logo. It is available at West Marine and through Port Supply. Learn more at http://www.GreenAcetone.com
