Newspapers all over the world are reporting about the private yacht that was captured by Somali pirates and then rescued by French Special Forces last week.
Florent Lemacon, the skipper of the yacht, was killed along with two Somali pirates when French forces mounted a raid on the hijacked yacht in the Indian Ocean last Friday, according to a report in The Independent. The story serves as a reminder that it’s not just commercial ships at risk from the increasingly brazen Somali pirates.
