Producer issues casting call for boats

Posted on

Filmmakers shooting a new “Piranha 3-D” movie are looking for boats and their owners to serve as extras in the film.

Initial filming, scheduled to begin May 11 and run through June 27, will take place on Arizona’s Lake Havasu, according to a report at HavasuNews.com. Filmmakers are looking for various types of boats, from picture boats that would be featured predominately in the film to workboats that would be used to hold crewmembers.

“There are days where we will need in excess of 100 boats,” local marine coordinator Todd Taylor, with Joker’s Wild Productions, told the newspaper.

Interested boaters need to submit the boat specs and two pictures of the boat to boatcast@yahoo.com.
