Yanmar raises money for coral reef groupsPosted on
Yanmar Marine of Adairsville, Ga., recently hosted a Casino Night fund-raiser to benefit the National Coral Reef Institute and the International Society for Reef Studies. The event raised $1,650 for each organization.
Established in 1998, NCRI’s mission is to assess, monitor and restore coral reefs through research and education.
“Yanmar’s generosity does much to promote the ability for NCRI to continue its mission,” said Richard Dodge, NCRI executive director, in a statement.
Founded in 1980, ISRS produces and distributes scientific knowledge and understanding of living and fossil coral reefs to the public.
