The American Boating Congress opens Wednesday, and the one-day conference features a diverse lineup of speakers on topics ranging from ethanol policy to the economy.

ABC is the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s annual legislative conference.

More than 130 attendees are expected to attend the conference, representing boat manufacturers, engine manufacturers, trailer manufacturers, marina owners and operators, marine trade associations and other industry stakeholders.

The following members of Congress are expected to address the conference during ABC’s Congressional Forum: Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Maryland); Rep. Ron Klein (D-Florida); Sen. Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina); Rep. Steven Kagen (D-Wisconsin); Rep. John Shadegg (R-Arizona); and Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-Indiana), who will provide the keynote luncheon address

“We’re pleased that so many organizations have made attending ABC a priority, especially during this challenging economic climate,” said Thom Dammrich, president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, in a statement.
