Harken Inc., a Wisconsin-based manufacturer and distributor of sailboat hardware and accessories, reorganized its global and U.S. sales team with three internal promotions and one staff reduction.
The new promotions include Mark Wiss, global sales manager; Jim Andersen, U.S. sales manager and Charlotte Taylor, U.S. aftermarket leader. Tim Kent, former U.S. sales manager, is leaving Harken.
“This reorganization maximizes the experience we have within Harken of a long-standing, respected sales team,” said Bill Goggins, CEO of Harken USA, in a statement.
Wiss is a 15-year veteran of Harken, most recently serving as sales and service manager for Global Grand Prix Racing. In his new role he will assume the responsibilities previously held by Goggins, who served as commercial manager before being promoted to CEO last fall.
Andersen previously served as Northeast U.S. and Northern European sales manager. As head of Harken’s U.S. sales team, he will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for this group.
Taylor, a long-standing retail specialist, was promoted from her sales position to leader of Harken’s aftermarket. She will work with Andersen on development and implementation of aftermarket strategies, and coordinate the Harken aftermarket sales team.

Navionics Inc. of Wareham, Mass., hired Paul Michele as its new Southeast regional sales manager. He will support dealers, distributors and retail customers in Florida and Georgia.
Michele has more than a dozen years of sales experience and brings a strong knowledge of the recreational marine industry and customer service, according to the company.
He previously served as Eastern region advertising salesman for Florida Fishing Weekly and, before that, he was general manager of Yo-Zuri America. He also has worked with SPRO Corp. and tackle wholesaler Folsom Corp.
“We are excited to have an individual with such a diverse job history lead the Navionics charge in the all-important Southeast region,” said Bob Moshiri vice president of U.S. sales for Navionics, in a statement.

John P. Frazier joined ShipConstructor Software USA as its new technical account manager.
Frazier comes to ShipConstructor from Autodesk, where he served as technical consultant and technical account manager. During that time he worked with Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Northrop Grumman Newport News, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard and Boeing.
Frazier has a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He also worked in various positions in the aircraft industry, as well as developing software solutions for NASA.
“With more than 15 years of experience at Autodesk, and many more years of experience in the IT and engineering world, I know that we have a dedicated person on board that will develop creative solutions together with our U.S. shipbuilding and offshore clients,” said Rolf G.
