Knoxville Watersports is partnering with Skiers Choice, the manufacturer of Supra and Moomba boats, to host “the biggest boating extravaganza of the year” this weekend.
Beginning today and running through Sunday, the dealership will offer a factory liquidation sale at his new showroom in Knoxville, Tenn. The sales event also features repo units available from around the country.
Factory executives and the president from Skiers Choice will be on site to answer questions about a particular Supra or Moomba model. In addition, Supra Pro wakeboarder Josh Sanders will be on-hand today and tomorrow to sign autographs, talk about the best ballast set-ups for individual boats and help people select the right gear or boat.

Win-Tron Electronics of Spring Lake Heights, N.J., will distribute U.K.-based Digital Yacht’s SmarterTrack AIT 250, a full Class B transmitting and receiving AIS.
The AIT 250 incorporates a dual-channel AIS receiver, picking up signals from nearby targets as well as a transmitter that sends the yacht’s position. A GPS receiver is built in and the unit allows direct connection to an onboard PC or plotter for a graphical plot of other nearby vessels.
It comes with a GPS antenna and a compact VHF antenna. Using an industry standard NMEA 0183 interface, it works with most leading brands of chartplotters, including Raymarine, Furuno, Garmin and Standard Horizon. The built-in GPS can also be used as a secondary GPS, if necessary.
“Most dealers and end users prefer this one-box solution,” said Eddie Winder, senior vice president of Win-Tron Electronics, in a statement. “In addition, the AIT 250 is non-brand specific, and will therefore work very well with many of the chartplotters we distribute, and the price will make it a very competitive model.”

Gulf Coast Hatteras opened a new sales office in Port St. Joe, Fla.
“Thanks to the loyal support of our clients and friends, Gulf Coast Hatteras remains strong, despite the challenges that are facing our nation as a whole,” said Eric Jung, owner and CEO, in a statement. “In response to the support we have received in this first quarter, we felt what better way to reconfirm our commitment to our customers and manufacturers than by expanding our infrastructure to better serve our surrounding communities.”
