Azure schedules July shutdown

Posted on

Azure Boats, part of the Bennington Marine Group in Elkhart, Ind., scheduled a summer shutdown during July to help dealers reduce current inventory levels and make way for 2010 models, the company said in a statement.

The company says it will monitor its 2010 order backlog and resume a standard production schedule as soon as the backlog permits. Southwind deck boats, also built in the Azure facility, will follow the same schedule.

Azure’s sister company, pontoon manufacturer Bennington Marine, will retain a standard production schedule throughout July and August.
