Boatyard topics added to MRA conference

Posted on

The Marina Recreation Association added a slate of three boatyard-related seminar events to its upcoming annual conference, set for Nov. 3 in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Topics include Boatyard Equipment and Safety, Environmental Considerations and Practices, and a roundtable on Managing Relationships between Marinas and Boatyards.

This year’s conference theme is “Cruising into a Leaner, Greener Tomorrow.” The theme was chosen to highlight the marina industry’s role in reducing energy consumption and protecting the natural environment of our harbors, rivers and coasts.

“The conference is a great opportunity to meet your fellow marina operators and share ideas and experiences,” said Yvonne Cantrell of Houseboats.com and an MRA board member, in a statement. “The annual conference is our showcase event. This year’s Lake Tahoe symposium is going to be one of our best ever. We will have many very accomplished speakers on a wide range of topics of interest to our members.”
