Coleman donates life jackets to NYMA

Posted on

The Coleman Co. recently donated 474 life jackets to the National Youth Marine Alliance for waterfront programs at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sites in the South Atlantic Division.

“This donation from Coleman will help to save lives,” said Tom Griffin, executive director of the NYMA, in a statement. “Without the support of companies like Coleman, many of our young people would not have the equipment they need to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in and around the water.”

Founded more than 100 years ago, Coleman supplies a number of outdoor recreational products, including life jackets under its Stearns brand. The company is a member of the PFD Manufacturers Association, which endorses the efforts of the National Youth Marine Alliance.

“The National Youth Marine Alliance is doing important work,” said Delaina Lee, brand manager for Coleman’s Stearns brand, in a statement. “We are delighted to support their efforts to deliver the water safety message and encourage safe practices on all waters.”
