Creditors committee appointed in Genmar bankruptcy

Posted on

The U.S. trustee overseeing Genmar Holdings’ bankruptcy appointed seven companies to serve on the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors.

Appointed to the committee are: EZ Loader Boat Trailers, Midway, Ark.; Inland Plywood Co., Pontiac, Mich.; Dometic Corp., Pompano Beach, Fla.; Volvo Penta of the Americas Inc., Chesapeake, Va.; Marine Hardware Inc., Redmond, Va.; Teleflex Inc., Limerick, Pa.; and Ti Dawn Engineering Inc., Atlanta.

Gary Potter from EZ Loader Boat Trailers was designated as acting chairperson of the committee, pending the selection of a permanent chairperson by the committee members.

Genmar filed for Chapter 11 reorganization protection in U.S. bankruptcy court in Minnesota June 1, citing an inability to complete alternative financing acceptable to the banks.

Here’s a company that is trying to keep the doors open they employee a large number of men and women and all we can think of is how someone said a word. We need to figure out how to help get all of our businesses back on track and stop being part of the problem.
