Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Genmar Yacht Group, Southeastern Dock & Platform, Maretron, Zodiac of North America and Grand Banks Yachts.
Genmar Yacht Group recently named Singleton Marine Group a Marquis Yachts and Carver Yachts dealer for Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama.
Singleton Marine was founded in 1989 by Phillip and Linda Singleton and is currently led by their son Austin Singleton who serves as president of the organization. They serve their market area through seven retail locations in the three states.
Singleton Marine Group will represent the entire Marquis fleet of products including the recently unveiled Marquis 500 Sport Bridge. It also will represent the full line of Carver Yacht products from 36 to 56 feet, including the new Carver 44 Sojourn.
Genmar Yacht Group is a subsidiary of Genmar Holdings.

Southeastern Dock & Platform joined the Safe Haven Systems team as its latest dealer. It will sell Safe Haven’s green boatlifts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Virginia and the Carolinas.
“We’re proud that Safe Haven has welcomed us to be the visible face of their company in the field,” Southeastern Dock & Platform president/owner Mitch Brown said in a statement. “Their cost-competitive line, including drive-on products for small boats and PWC, as well as lifts for boats over 21 feet, gives us the ability to broaden our market focus.”
Headquartered in Bluffton, S.C., Southeastern Dock & Platform says it only sells docking and lift products that are eco-friendly.

Phoenix-based Maretron, a developer and manufacturer of marine electronic networked instrumentation, added Lyngaa as its national distributor in Denmark.
“Denmark has always been close to my heart, having lived there during my years managing Raytheon Marine Europe,” said Larry Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement. “We are pleased to bring on board a company as capable as Lyngaa.”
In January, Maretron began a program in Europe to appoint in-country distributors that would develop a sales and technical support capability located within the geographic market they serve.

Zodiac of North America recently appointed Nautical Ventures South Inc. to be the exclusive authorized representative for the Zodiac and Avon product lines in Fort Lauderdale.
Nautical Ventures, a 25-year-old, water sports outfitter and specialty store, will carry a full line of Zodiac products including models such as the Yachtline, Pro Open, Cadet Tenders, Pro Jet, and Avon.
“We are extremely pleased to be adding Nautical Ventures as one of our exclusive dealers,” said Ed Morris, Zodiac’s East Coast director of marketing, in a statement. “They have a sense of professionalism, a level of enthusiasm, and knowledge of sales and marketing that will enable them to be very successful with Zodiac’s line of exciting and innovative products.”
Nautical Ventures is a national dealer of Hobie Cat and Ocean Kayak products, with a new 10,000-square-foot showroom.

Grand Banks Yachts announced the opening of a new sales office in Australia to manage distribution, service work and customer support for owners and new buyers across the region.
Grand Banks Australia, based along the Gold Coast in southeast Queensland, brings to the market a team with many years of factory experience and in-depth product expertise.
Leading the effort is Hank Compton, a former factory manager for Grand Banks Yachts and more recently the company’s sales manager in this region.
“Grand Banks is very excited to have Hank Compton leading the charge for us in Australia,” company president and CEO Rob Livingston said in a statement. “We are constantly looking to raise the level of customer care and support in our sales network, and Hank has the passion, the people and the resources we need to do just that.”
