While this is not a boating story per se, we believe the marine industry will find a number of takeaways on everything from branding and marketing to management in this account of the life of John S. Barry.

Barry was the passionate, savvy executive who grew WD-40 into a ubiquitous household product whose name has become a generic for similar lubricants and water displacement sprays. Most marine service departments and scores of boaters have at least a can or two kicking around.

    Thank you for putting that article in Trade Only.  WD-40 is used in every household and the Marine Industry and I found it fascinating to learn how and who made it such a success.
