Marina benefit will help Jacksonville Humane Society

Posted on

Ortega Landing, a condominium and marina development in Jacksonville, Fla., is hosting the Boats and Barks Celebration Aug. 8, with all proceeds, including dockage fees, going to support the Jacksonville Humane Society.

Attendees can come by land or sea with their dogs to attend the celebration. Some activities planned include a professional photographer to take photos of dogs and their best friends on their boat or land, a dog/owner lookalike contest and an auction.

Special dockage rates of $75 per night are available.

Ortega Landing is excited to host this event on behalf of the Jacksonville Humane Society. It is a fun event for a good cause. Dogs and dog lovers alike will have a great time with the activities we have planned and great views of the Ortega River from our pool deck,” said Amy Schmid, office manager at Ortega Landing, in a statement.
