YachtWorld.com launches new Yacht Brokerage University series

Posted on Written by Michael LaBella

YachtWorld.com has announced a series of eight new Yacht Brokerage Universities.

The first four of the 2009 series are co-hosted by YachtWorld and the Yacht Brokers Association of America and take place July 28 in Providence, R.I., July 30 in Annapolis, Md., Aug. 13 in Seabrook, Texas, and Aug. 20 in Chicago.

Four more Yacht Brokerage Universities are planned for California; Vancouver, British Columbia; Fort Lauderdale and Seattle. Dates, locations and broker association partners are being finalized.

“We have timely subjects and great speakers for this series and recommend early registration,” said Jessica Muffett, publisher emeritus, YachtWorld.com, in a statement. “Brokers who attend will learn a great deal about the existing market conditions, both domestically and internationally; the new trends in social network and Internet marketing; as well as the new products and services offered by YachtWorld.”

YachtWorld has conducted more than 75 such events in the United States in the past five years.

This is funny!  Yachtworld is going to tell brokers about market conditions!
How would they know since the largest Brokerage houses don’t even report sales to them, and Yacht World didn’t see the “writing on the wall” regarding Olympic Boat Sales shutting down last summer  and all the other brokerages that have closed, or left them altogether for other sites that provide a better service for less money and better yet-actually LISTEN to what their clients want NOT what they want to shove down our throats.  Blind leading the blind followed by those who don’t know and those who don’t care that they don’t know.    Maybe they can tell us who’s going to win the elections held last fall?
