Anchor Bend designs Boat of the Year trophies

Cruising World and Sailing World announced that Anchor Bend Glassworks, a collaborative of award-winning artists, is the designer of the trophy commissioned exclusively for the annual Boat of the Year Awards held by the two publications.

The new BOTY trophies were unveiled in time for the 2009 competition. Cruising World overall winners receiving the trophy are Island Packet Yachts for the Island Packet 460, and Malo Yachts for the Malo 37 Classic. Sailing World gave the trophy to 2009 BOTY overall winner Summit Yachts for the King 40.

The new BOTY trophies from Anchor Bend will be presented to all future Cruising World and Sailing World overall Boat of the Year winners.

Bonnier Corp., the publisher of Cruising World and Sailing World, is one of the largest consumer publishing groups in the United States, with more than 40 special-interest magazines as well as related multimedia projects and events.
