Clean Marine Solutions given environmental grantPosted on
Wilmington, N.C.-based Clean Marine Solutions was awarded an $84,600 North Carolina Green Business Fund Grant to further fund development of an affordable solution for boatyard/marina powerwash wastewater effluent.
The grant is administered by the North Carolina Board of Science and Technology.
“The grant will provide money for custom systems at four North Carolina marine service facilities,” president David Flagler said in a statement. “The goal of Clean Marine Solutions is to help boatyards and marinas comply with the Federal Clean Water Act.”
Clean Marine Solutions was one of 14 grant awardees from across the state.
Flagler will be a seminar presenter at the annual International BoatBuilders Exhibition and Conference in October. The topic is “Clean Water for Boatyards and Marinas – why go green?”
The seminar is sponsored by the American Boat Builders and Repairers Association.
