COMITT names featured speakerPosted on
Valerie Ziebron, president of VRZ Consulting and an instructor for Yamaha University, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Conference on Marine Industry Technical Training.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 as part of the International BoatBuilders Exposition and Conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Ziebron, who has been a presenter on best practices for more than 18 years, says her training mantra is to “educate, motivate and entertain.” She got her start in the automotive industry and then expanded into technology, computer, retail, marine and real estate. Her clients have included DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Shelby American, Yamaha, Eastman Kodak, IPIX, Ruritan, CorrectCraft, and many others.
“We are delighted to have Valerie set the tone for COMITT 2009,” COMITT committee chair Barbara-Jean Walsh said in a statement. “She gave stellar presentations last year in two of our seminars, and she is no stranger to the marine industry.”
Ziebron will present two workshops. The morning session will address “Worker Competence: Being Effective at Your Work Tasks,” and the afternoon session is called “Enhancing Your Marine Human Resources for Customer Satisfaction and Profitability.”
Produced annually by the Marine Industry Training & Education Council, COMITT is focused on ongoing concerns such as recruiting, training and retaining employees.
