Yachting Solutions buys brokerage firm

Posted on

Yachting Solutions of Rockport, Maine, acquired Cannell, Payne & Page, a Camden, Maine, brokerage firm.

Brokers Bill Cannell and Jim Payne and office manager Diane Kirkman will continue to work for the brokerage, whose offices will move from the American Boathouse to a new space overlooking Camden Harbor.

Since its founding nearly 30 years ago, Cannell, Payne & Page has grown to become the oldest firm in the country specializing in classic and wooden yachts while also having sold everything from antique dinghies to modern megayachts.

Bill Morong’s Yachting Solutions has a modern 15,000-square-foot storage-and-repair facility in Rockport, in addition to dock space in Camden on the American Boathouse dock at the head of the harbor and the Harborside West dock, and a new marina in Rockland with berths for 50 yachts.

Yachting Solutions restores, repairs and maintains all types of yachts. Current projects include restoring an 80-foot classic commuter yacht and a Trumpy motoryacht. The firm also provides crew management and yacht services and is a dealer for Hunt powerboats.

Congrats to Bill Morong!  Bill has worked with our family for many years – honest, hardworking, knowledgable.  This is a natural move for you and one that I know will work out.  Good luck.
