Fish expo has new name and location

Posted on

The Fish Expo Atlantic trade show was renamed the Commercial Marine Expo and is relocating from Providence, R.I., to a waterfront facility in New Bedford, Mass.

The 2010 event will be held June 9-10 at the State Pier in New Bedford’s working waterfront.

“In 2008, we successfully broadened the scope of the show to embrace all commercial marine businesses – our new name more accurately reflects the direction our exhibitors and attendees want us to take the show,” show director Ted Hugger said in a statement.

Commercial fishing and fish processing will continue to play a major role in the show, as will tug and barge operations, fire, police and harbor security, military, ferry, freight and port operations.

Commercial Marine Expo, incorporating Fish Expo Atlantic, is sponsored by National Fisherman magazine. For information on exhibiting at CME 2010, e-mail Karen Kelly or call (978) 263-1334.
